108 Nights. Catching Up. Feeling Lonely.

December is here and it’s another lonely night in a hotel room as I’m on the road, yet again, for work. I totaled it all up and this week will end with a sum of 108 nights in hotels for the year, personal travel excluded. I enjoy my job but sometimes this can be a tough way to exist. That being said, it’s also a good opportunity to catch up on some things, like offloading images from my memory cards. Reviewing some of the photos from many months ago warms my heart a bit and makes the time alone easier to handle.

Here are two images taken in Lassen Volcanic I had fun creating and now look back upon fondly. I don’t recall which lenses I used but they were taken with my Actus and Fuji GFX50S. While I most often work in the classic 4×5 aspect ratio I sometimes use others. I try to restrict my work to a limited number of aspect ratios, which include: 4×5, 1×1, 1×2, and 1×3. The vertical image below is a 1×2 aspect ratio.
